The Blanquerna Observatory on Media, Religion and Culture will take part in the 10th Union for the Mediterranean Regional Forum, which will soon be held at the Pedralbes Palace in Barcelona, from November 22 to 28. During those days, the city will become the centre of dialogue and collaborative initiatives around the Mediterranean, marking the 30th anniversary of the start of the Barcelona Process.
This process was decisive for establishing cooperation among Euro-Mediterranean initiatives, launched in 1995 and inspired by the desire of many to build peace in the Middle East. It helped strengthen ties and share challenges, and it was the seed from which the Union for the Mediterranean was created in 2008.
Throughout the week, participants will hear from various Ministers of Foreign Affairs, representatives of regions and cities, members of civil society, and experts. Events will include the conference on Mediterranean cities, a strategic dialogue on resilience and recovery, the launch of the EU’s New Pact for the Mediterranean, and the cultural commemoration of the Day of the Mediterranean.
Under the motto “Together for a Stronger Euro-Mediterranean Partnership,” this 10th Forum invites participating entities to renew their commitment to cooperation — the strongest path toward peaceful coexistence, stability, and prosperity across the region.
