The director of the Blanquerna Observatory on Media, Religion and Culture, Dr. Míriam Díez, has been interviewed by Catalunya Religió to talk abot the Obs and the projects that this centre is carrying out.

“religion has not always had the charitable effect it should have in society; a lot of times this has been the cause of division, still today. What we wanted to do was to study it from the point of of communication, because there are already those who analyze it from the point of view of history, theology and pastoral”
“Culture is absolutely impregnated by religion. To understand a Tàpies without thinking that there is something that looks like a cross would be very complicated. To go around without realizing that in the inside of a lot of authors and writers there is this presence or absence of belief is very difficult. To understand Unamuno without his agony towards the religious fact is impossible”
