Second Award for the best Bachelor Degree Final Project (TFG) on Freedom of Religion and Belief
The Chair of Religious Freedom and Conscience announces the Second Award for Bachelor Degree Final Projects (TFG) in the field of Freedom of Religion and Belief.
Goals
The aim of this award is to raise awareness about the fundamental right to freedom of religion and conscience and the possible obstacles to this right. It also aims to promote research and interest in the subject among undergraduate students.
Participants
Bachelor Degree Final Projects that have been carried out since the academic year 2019-2020 in any university center and that have already been evaluated may be submitted to the call for applications.
Topic
The call is open to papers dealing with freedom of religion and conscience. For example, works that allow the visibility of good practices or obstacles encountered in the exercise of this right, both at the local and international level, among others.
Project requirements
- Papers may be submitted from any discipline (law, communication, philosophy, etc.) as long as the subject is related to freedom of religion or belief.
- Accepted papers may have used a quantitative or qualitative methodology and may be empirical or theoretical in nature.
- The minimum grade for the paper must be 7.
- The language of the project has to be Catalan, Spanish or English.
- The work may have been carried out individually or in groups.
Deadline
The deadline for the submission of papers is the 18th of May 2024.
Evaluation criteria
- Relevance and relevance of the subject of the work.
- Contribution to the study of the right to freedom of religion and conscience.
- Academic quality.
- Methodological rigor.
Evaluation board
The panel will be made up of members of the Chair of Religious Freedom and Conscience and its Advisory Council.
Award
Among all the entries, the best TFG will receive a prize of 100 euros (subject to any applicable tax deductions). If the project was carried out in a group, the prize will be divided equally among the members of the group. A Diploma of accreditation will also be awarded.
The winning paper will be presented at the International Congress on Religious Freedom and Conscience to be held in Barcelona on the 5th and 6th of June 2024.
Resolution
The decision of the evaluation panel is final and will be published on the Chair’s website. Even so, the winner will be notified through the contact with which he/she applied for the call.
Procedures for presentation
- The project must be submitted in PDF format and anonymously, without any identification of the author or tutor on any page of the work, at catedrallibertatreligiosa@blanquerna.url.edu.
- The academic transcript or official document with which the grade obtained for the paper can be accredited must be submitted.
