Avatars and Religion in a Breakfast Obs

This Wednesday, June 5, the Blanquerna Observatory organized a session of Obs breakfasts focused on the theme of vicissitudes and religion, in which Dr Victoria Vanessa Dos Santos, a researcher at the ZRS Koper Institute of Religious and Philosophical Studies of Slovenia, took part. During the event, the form and meaning of introducing religious communities in virtual reality environments were explored in detail, a phenomenon that has acquired particular relevance after the COVID-19 pandemic. Likewise, the ethical and normative implications that arise from this introduction were addressed. Dr Verónica Israel Turim, a researcher at the Blanquerna Observatory, moderated the session.
