Dr. Míriam Díez and Dr. Gemma Morató, director and member of the Observatory, respectively, participated on 22 November in the round table “Communication and Truth” in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the death of St. Francis de Sales, patron saint of journalists.

The event, organized by the College of Journalists and the Institute of Religious Sciences of Girona together with the Blanquerna Observatory, the Communications Office of the Bishopric of Girona and the Provincial Council, was held in the Miquel Diumé hall of the Girona college.

In a very pleasant afternoon, the four speakers -Míriam Díez, Gemma Morató, Laura Fanals and Mn. Josep Caselles- moderated by the president of the college, Jordi Grau, analyzed the situation of journalism today and what elements must be strengthened to avoid false news and always get closer to the truth of the facts.
