The Blanquerna Observatory on Communication, Religion and Culture, Dr Míriam Díez, has taken part in the first Google Hangout organized by the Cortile dei Gentili from Assis (Italy). The Hangout -which connects through videoconference different experts- took place a few minutes after the debate on believing or not believing of the President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, and the cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, president of the Pontifical Council for Culture.

The videoconference took place on Friday the 5th of October, and it counted with the participation of the Italian Interior Minister, Anna Maria Cancellieri, the cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, the bishop Vicenzo Paglia, president of the Pontifical Council for Family, the rector of the University of Bologna, Ivano Dionigi, the Italian Ambassador in front of the Holy See, Francesco Maria Greco, the psychiatrist Alessandro Meluzzi and other Italian participants. The matter was “Unknown God, dialogue between believers and non-believers”. The connection with Barcelona, which has been a headquarters of a Cortile dei Gentili, was the only one outside of Italy.
