Columbia University (NYC) invited Professor Dr Daniel Esparza of the Blanquerna Observatory to give a masterclass as part of the graduate course Religion and Public Life, taught by the distinguished Professor Clémence Boulouque. Professor Esparza gave a lecture based on his work The Religious Structure of Chavismo, which is included in the book Perplexed Religion, published by the Blanquerna Observatory. Professor Esparza’s work is a review of the process of configuration of the Chavista identity (political, social, communitarian) based on a series of concepts developed by Freud in Totem and Taboo and in Moses and Monotheism.
