The Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and the ERC FACETS Project (Face Aesthetics in Contemporary E-Technological Societies, directed by Professor Massimo Leone, Università Degli Studi Di Torino) has invited Professor Dr. Daniel Esparza, from the Observatori Blanquerna, to participate in the International Symposium “Rostros Colectivos, Diversidad Común” (Collective Faces, Common Diversity), to be held on 29 February, 01 and 02 March 2024 at the UCAB campus in Caracas, Venezuela.

The symposium focuses on the exploration and analysis of the collective face in Latin America’s common diversity, with an emphasis on identity, culture and technology. Professor Esparza is participating in the symposium as a keynote speaker, presenting a paper and chairing one of the panel discussions.

Among the topics to be discussed at the symposium are: the representation of groups and communities through selected faces; processes and controversies in face selection; the construction of collective faces of the future; collective post- and transhuman faces; and the aesthetics of faces in Latin American common diversity. The symposium will include conferences, research presentations and panel discussions – all in hybrid mode to ensure international participation.
