Heremes – Helsinki Research Hub on Religion, Media and Social Change
Heremes – Research Hub on Religion Media and Social Change is a research group of the University of Helsinki focusing on work on religions, belief systems, worldviews and ideologies in today’s changing, media-saturated and datafied society. They are responsible for conducting, coordinating and promoting interdisciplinary research on religion, media and social change.
The research centre is an initiative of different faculties initiated by Katja Valaskivi from the Faculty of Theology, Johanna Sumiala from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Titus Hjelm from the Faculty of Arts.
