MADIPAX, MAISON DU DIALOGUE ET DE LA PAIX
MADIPAX, Maison du Dialogue et de la Paix, is a French national association that seeks to promote innovative meeting places that welcome people of different faiths and beliefs, all in order to promote dialogue for peace. They are aimed at people of all ages, of different religions or philosophies, and with the conviction for the desire of an interreligious dialogue in favour of peace.
MADIPAX actors are already involved in interreligious, intercultural and intergenerational dialogue, and want to go further in terms of coexistence. They believe that this is to be found in the diversity of cultures, religions and beliefs. Their new actions aim to be innovative in improving intergenerational relationships between people of all backgrounds, and therefore create local synergies and intercultural hope.
Goals
- Welcoming and promoting initiatives in support of freedom of religion and conscience
- Welcoming and promoting initiatives in favour of equality of opportunities, rights and duties
- Welcoming and promoting all bonds of fraternity between citizens of different faiths determined to choose the path of dialogue and peace and to refuse any proselytising or conquering dogmatism
- Organising moments of sharing, likely to encourage inter-knowledge and the meeting of people of different faiths.
- Training actors in intercultural and interreligious citizenship
- Opening channels of communication and action
- Establishing mediations
