Meeting with Lord Mayor of Dublin, London Faith Cities network

Wednesday, October 28th, we attended a closed-door meeting (as zoom times call) with Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu, who is the daughter of Hong Kong immigrants and the ninth woman to hold the position. Chu has highly valued intercultural dialogue – often promoted from communities of faith – in times of pandemic, where needs and differences have been aggravated. After her intervention and a brief question time, we have proceeded with the agenda. On behalf of the Observatory, Xavier Memba has intervened. Other participants have been Ali Madani from Faith Forum for London, Rabbi Alex Goldberg from the University of Surrey, Leonie Lewis from the London Jewish Forum, Adrian Cristea from the Dublin City Interfaith Forum, Leon Aslanov, Ian Stewart and Ruhy Parris from the Edinburgh Interfaith Association.
