Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost marks 6 months since his appointment as Pope Leo XIV. He has not yet made significant appointments, likely out of respect for the Jubilee Year – which will end on January 6, 2026 – so as not to compromise anyone or make sudden changes.
A pontiff who broadens the base, giving voice to different groups within the Church from a clearly mediating role, with unity as his main concern. A bridge-builder, aware that the Church must be a Peace builder in this historical moment we are living.
These are some of the topics addressed by our director, Dr. Míriam Díez Bosch, in this radio report dedicated to the first months of Pope Leo XIV, in conversation with journalist Gemma Bonet and Jordi Pacheco, director of Foc Nou magazine.
“He is being diplomatically exquisite and pastorally brilliant,” adds Díez. Leo XIV combines tradition and modernity from a position that continues Francis’s legacy, advocating for a Church with and for the poor, as he proposes with the recent Dilexit te.
