On March 24, Davide Nocca, member of the Blanquerna Observatory, attended the headquarters of AUDIR in Barcelona, where the presentation of the book Against Symbolic Liberalism: A Plea for Dialogical Sociology, written by sociologist Sari Hanafi, took place. The event became a space for reflection focused on analysing contemporary social challenges.
The session was moderated by Sergio Arévalo, co-director of AUDIR, and featured a roundtable discussion with the author himself alongside university professors Lena de Botton (Universitat de Barcelona) and Ricard Zapata (Universitat Pompeu Fabra). During the event, the speakers jointly discussed the main arguments and reflections presented in the book.
The organisation of this event was made possible through the collaboration between AUDIR, the Universitat de Barcelona, and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra through its research group GRITIM. This gathering reaffirmed the importance of continuing to promote spaces for dialogue and critical debate between academia and social organisations.
