The webinar organized by the Blanquerna Observatory on Media, Religion and Culture to analyze the encyclical Dilexit Nos by pope Francis offered on Friday a profound interdisciplinary exploration of this papal text. Moderated by Daniel Esparza, the event addresses the encyclical from three key fields: Philosophy, Engineering and Communication, with speakers Francesc Torralba, Rosa Alsina i Míriam Díez Bosch.
The encyclical, defines as a “meditation on human and divine love in the light of Jesus”, places the hear as the central core of human existance, avoiding reducing it to romantic or pious concepts. It is a text that interpellates the role of love as an ethical category, with implications for social justice, human relations and community life.
