Obs in the media: ‘We want to create debate on the situation of religious freedom and belief’, Míriam Díez

Posted on

Míriam Díez, director of the Blanquerna Observatory on Media, Religion and Culture, has been interviewed by Catalunya Cristiana days before the beginning of the Second International Conference on Religious Freedom and Belief.

The Chair is a space for the study and dissemination of religious freedom and freedom of conscience through communication.

We want to showcase local, regional or international best practices in managing religious diversity and promoting freedom of religion or conscience. We will bring together dozens of specialists to analyse international standards for assessing the exercise of the right to freedom of religion or conscience and for preventing violations. We are interested in creating a debate among experts and heads of international organisations on the international situation and trends in religious freedom and freedom of conscience, as well as on methodologies, categories and indicators for analysing the reality of religious freedom and the concept of religion in a post-secular world.
