Oikosnet Europe is an Ecumenical Association of Academies and Laity Centres in Europe.

They are a network of Christian academies and laity centres in Europe. Oikosnet Europe members represent Churches of the reformation, Catholic and Orthodox confessions.

Oikosnet Europe organizes conferences, meetings and festivities around multiple topics; these get more than 200,000 participants from all walks of life every year.  Their main focus for common projects of Oikosnet Europe have been:

  • Religion and democracy
  • Social development
  • Ecumenical formation
  • Sustainability,
  • Migration
  • Gender issues.

All their members are all joined in their belief that, as a faith based organization, there is a need to act out responsibility for society and living together peacefully and that real and deep exchanges and education in different ways is important to achieve this.

Oikosnet Europe is a network is formed by around 35 Christian academies and laity centres in Europe, with members from: Austria, Belarus, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
