Blanquerna is once again offering the University Specialisation Diploma in ‘Institutional Communication and Religion in the Digital Age’, a unique postgraduate course in Spain that combines the triad of communication, religion and new technologies, and which is now in its third year.

This year, among the more than thirty professors and professionals who teach the diploma, Professor Antonio Spadaro SJ, a world authority on communication and religion and an expert in cyber technologies, has joined the programme. In addition, as every year, the Italian Vatican journalist Luigi Accattoli of Il Corriere della Sera, the president of Aleteia, founder of Cenit and co-founder of H2onews, Jesús Colina, and the journalist Paloma Gómez Borrero, among others, will be present.

This third edition includes new labs on communication crisis management, seminars, interactive tools and case studies on marketing and the digital world of religion.

The objective of this course, developed by the Blanquerna Observatory of Communication, Religion and Culture, is to train competent professionals in the communication and public image of ecclesiastical and religious entities, as well as to explore the new communication possibilities offered by the digital environment to transmit the religious and institutional message. The flexible timetable (one Friday and one Saturday at the end of the month and one week in June 2016) makes it possible to combine it with other professions.

This course (October-June) concludes with a visit to the Vatican Media Institutions in Rome.

The enrolment period for the 2015-2016 academic year is from 1 to 30 September. Pre-enrolment can be done online or in person at the Master’s and Postgraduate Secretary’s Office of the Blanquerna Faculty of Communication and International Relations (Nuria Pujol, first floor).
