On April 22, 2026, on the occasion of Earth Day, the Blanquerna Observatory on Media, Religion and Culture participated in the interreligious meeting “Judaism, Christianity and Islam in times of environmental crisis”, held at Casa Adret.
The event brought together representatives of different religious traditions in a space for dialogue focused on the relationship between faith, responsibility, and the future, in the context of current ecological challenges. Throughout the session, the role that religions can play in promoting a shared ethical awareness in the face of the environmental crisis was addressed, as well as their capacity to foster attitudes of care, sustainability, and collective commitment.
The meeting highlighted the importance of interreligious dialogue as a tool for articulating common responses to global issues, emphasizing how spiritual traditions can contribute to a more holistic vision of the relationship between human beings and the natural environment.
The event was organized by the Institute of Jewish Studies of Barcelona, ARCO Forum, Casa Turca Barcelona, and Cristianisme i Justícia, establishing itself as a space for shared reflection on the ethical and spiritual dimensions of the ecological crisis.
This type of initiative reinforces the need to build bridges between religions and convictions in order to address contemporary global challenges from a plural perspective and to promote a culture of responsibility and care for the planet.
