Second International Congress on Freedom of Religion and Conscience

From the Blanquerna Observatory we would like to remind you that the 2nd International Congress on Freedom of Religion and Conscience, organised by the Chair of Freedom of Religion and Conscience of the Ramon Llull University, will be held on the 5th and 6th of June.

The objectives of the meeting are:

  • To present local, regional or international best practices in managing religious diversity and promoting freedom of religion and conscience.
  • To analyse international standards for assessing the exercise of the right to freedom of religion or conscience and the prevention of violations.
  • To generate a debate among experts and heads of international organisations on the international situation and trends in freedom of religion and conscience, as well as on methodologies, categories and indicators for analysing the reality of religious freedom and the concept of religion in a post-secular world.

The Chair, created within the framework of the Blanquerna Observatory on Media, Religion and Culture, is a research and dissemination space whose main objective is to study and analyse the situation of freedom of religion and conscience in Catalonia.
