The director of the Blanquerna Observatory on Communication, Religion and Culture, Dr. Miriam Diez Bosch, will participate as a speaker in the international symposium “Faith, consumption and digital culture: reconfiguring religious debates in platform societies”, which will take place on April 29 in Santiago de Chile.
The event is organized by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, within the framework of the NetCath research project and will bring together international experts to analyze how digital platforms are transforming communication, identity, and the consumption of religion.
During the symposium, the main challenges faced by universities and institutions in transmitting their identity and mission in digital environments will be discussed, as well as new forms of religious participation, especially among younger generations.
Dr. Diez will share the stage with researchers such as Liliana De Simone and Rayen Condeza, in a session aimed at fostering dialogue between academic research, digital culture, and contemporary spirituality.
The symposium is supported by the Blanquerna Observatory on Communication, Religion and Culture and the research group STReaM (Society, Technology, Religion and Media), thus reinforcing the international dimension of projects linked to Universitat Ramon Llull.
