The Observatory participates at the 1st Intercultural Program by IEMED

The Observatory has participated at the first call of “IEMED’s Intercultural Program. Inclusion and Diversity at Schools”, an initiative of the European Institute of the Mediterranean along with the collaboration of the Equality, Migration and Citizenship Secretariat of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The program seeks to achieve more cohesion and diversity from the schools with a higher index of cultural diversity in the classroom.

Professor Susana Pérez has imparted various workshops at the Badalona School in order to detect hate messages in social networks, especially those referring to gender, religion or racial prejudice. On december 4th the Observatory director, Míriam Díez, and professor Susana Pérez have participated in the evaluative meeting together with dozens of entities, dynamizers, trainers and representatives of City Councils of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona, at IEMED’s headquarters.
