Do immigrant women in the Raval use new technologies? This question was answered by the Blanquerna Observatory of Communication, Religion and Culture at the III International Conference on Gender and Communication, held in Seville on 7 and 8 April. Alba Sabaté presented the paper: Not everything is Twitter: Use and consumption of digital tools by immigrant women in the Raval, whose main authors are Dr Míriam Díez and Dr Josep Lluís Micó. The meeting counted on the presence and contribution of international experts on the subject, such as Prof. Samy Tayle, from the University of Cairo and member of the Global Alliance for Media Literacy, and Prof. Lisa Cukzland from Boston College. The paper emerged from the project Digital Narratives. Gender, Immigration and Religion on the Move, supported by the World Association of Christian Communication (WACC) and the Valdesian Church 8 per Mille, with the participation of Dr Eulàlia Tort.
