The voices of the Church in times of crisis

7 and 8 May 2013 Auditorium of the Blanquerna School of Communication (Valldonzella, 12).

With these two events, the Joan Maragall Foundation and Càritas Diocesana wish to promote reflection on the consequences of the current economic crisis and on the perspective that the social doctrine of the Church can offer to analyse the causes and propose actions. In the first round table, the speakers – academic experts – will analyse the current situation from the perspective of applied economics and sociology, highlighting the general trends and the impact on poverty in Barcelona and Catalonia. On the second day, the speakers will provide a more specific perspective from the Church.
