Blanquerna trains young volunteers from the Archdiocese of Barcelona in communication. On Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 April 2026, the Blanquerna Observatory on Media, Religion and Culture, in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Barcelona, organized a communication workshop aimed at around ten young Catholics from the city.

The sessions —led by the deputy director of the Observatory, Dr. Alba Sabaté, and the PhD candidate and member of the Obs Pilar Baradat Marí— were held at the Blanquerna School of Communication and International Relations of Universitat Ramon Llull and aimed to offer a practical introduction to the fundamentals of communication in the media. Over the two days, participants were able to familiarize themselves with key aspects such as oral expression, message construction, and the adaptation of discourse to different media formats.

The course combined theoretical content with practical sessions, in which the young participants had the opportunity to stand in front of radio microphones and television cameras in the Faculty’s TV studio.
